About Us
At Together Leicester we work with churches and other organisations in our local communities to tackle social inequality, transform neighbourhoods and change lives.
Together Leicester is one of 21 faith-based partnerships around England. Known as joint ventures, each is a partnership between the Church Urban Fund and a Church of England diocese, and focused on the needs and priorities of the communities they serve.
At the heart of everything we do is something we call ABCD, or Asset-based Community Development. It’s a way of working that makes the most of the skills and capacities of our local residents, groups and businesses to build stronger, happier and thriving communities.
In Leicester we are seeking to tackle three key areas of social inequality: food security, loneliness, and the stigma around mental health. And while our Christian faith is central to what we do, our local partnerships with other faiths and organisations bring extra strength and energy.
